jeep wrangler radio cuts out
Recently it has begun cutting in and out at complete random, doesn't matter about type of terrain I driving on or speed or type of use for the radio.
I have not reached out to the dealer or UConnect customer service.
This morning I woke up to a my Uconnect not working at all. The guy I talked to was Nicholas at level 3. All the dealers are booked up so I have to wait til next week to bring it in for diagnosis. A forum community dedicated to Jeep Wrangler owners and enthusiasts. Any thoughts? It is widespread.

If not then it's radio power only. I had that issue with my 430 in my 2008 T&C for a while when it was new. The radio shut off multiple times in a week. Wrong!! 2018 jl.
On long rides it can be fine for a while then cut out 4 or 5 times, then not happen again the rest of the trip. What should I do to track down what's causing it to cut out? When my Jeep has been stopped for an extended period, the radio always works when I first start. My AC wasn’t working either. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I replaced the Combination Antenna, no difference. this may sound crazy but it worked, i took the radio out, took off the front face plate, and opened the radio to expose the circuit boards.
If it happens again and gives a error code (witch it hasten after 3 times already ) they could look at it further.
Hello everyone, so I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X with all stock and bare bone components as far as the sound goes.
Example: "Bad Brakes", "Toyota Recall", etc. I know it sounds stupid, but if you've eliminated the chances of bad wiring, then the radio could have an intermittent internal connection or solder joint that is exacerbated when you hit a bump. If I reset my phone, IPhone 5, I can go for a while without it happening but the problem always returns.
Radio shuts off and restarts to the Jeep Logo Whale on a cruse to Oregon from Sacramento 2 times and once coming back.

Update from Dec 16, 2014: Took Jeep to dealer and they said the could not pull a error code off the computer, Nor did the stereo/screen reset whale test driving it. Tried their signal refresh a few times with no results. If the display shuts off at the same time the music cuts out, then the unit is probably losing power. Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing. Try this again only smack the side of the radio and see if it cuts out.
